/ Partners & Supporters

Arizona OIC works closely with many similarly -missioned organizations throughout the valley. We are thankful for the collaboration that exists between the “one-stop-shop” career centers in Phoenix and enjoy working with Maricopa Skills Center, Arizona Women’s Education and Employment, Job Corps, Fire Star, and Maricopa Human Capital Collaborative among others.

To successfully meet the needs of our clients we partner with employers, trainers, educational entities, and business sponsors. We would especially like to thank HMS Host, Veolia, Gateway Community College, Phoenix College, and JATC Bricklayers for their support and sponsorship.

Active in many areas within our community, Arizona OIC also includes the following subsidiaries:

Arizona Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebrations Committee

In 2023, the Arizona Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee will celebrate its 37th year of promoting cultural diversity, awareness and unity as it seeks to involve all Arizonans in recognizing the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the contributions he left to the world in his quest for equality for all people. Events during this celebratory season include the MLK Basketball Classic, Torch Run and MLK Awards Breakfast, MLK Youth Art Exhibit, MLK Youth Celebration, Candlelight Ceremony Concert, MLK March and Festival, and MLK Days of Service.

MORE INFO

Jackson Street Studios

There are 46.2 million people living in poverty in the United States resulting in the chronic homelessness of an estimated 1.6 million. Veterans comprise a disproportionate 40% of the homeless male population. The mission of the Arizona Opportunities Industrialization Center through Sullivan’s Place is to assist veterans and their families in attaining self-sufficiency through the provision of dignified housing and supportive services.

Sullivan’s Place includes 4 residential homes in South Phoenix. These properties are under renovation and we expect them to be occupied by Summer of 2013. Arizona OIC is currently seeking donations of funds, furniture, handy-work, and professional craftsman to aid in the refurbishment and preparation of these homes. If you have information on an opportunity available or would like to volunteer any of the mentioned services, please contact Amanda Wieland at Amanda@azoic.org. We are so excited to make a lasting impact in the lives of our Veterans in such a tangible way!

Arizona OIC Corporate Partners

As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Arizona OIC relies on donations, private sector funding, and special events for its operations. While grants were available when Arizona OIC was founded many years ago, over the past several decades public funding and grants have been disappearing. As a result, Arizona OIC has been actively developing its private sector relationships and partnerships, whereby companies rely on Arizona OIC to train their entry-level workforce.

OIC is proudly supported by many private organizations in our community. We are grateful for their support of our services.
